GOLD RAINBOW doesn’t shout. It radiates.

The fabric moves in bands of warm sand and golden amber, each separated by a fine red botanical border — delicate vine scrollwork that repeats like a chorus across the entire length of the jacket. In sunlight, the horizontal stripes catch the light differently at every angle. In the evening, it glows.

This fabric was found at Kantamanto market in Accra — the world’s largest second-hand textile market — where it arrived from a European home and waited to become something new. Our tailors in Aburi, Ghana saw exactly what it could be.

Oversized bomber silhouette. Black ribbed collar, black ribbed cuffs, black ribbed hem band. Centre zip. Two welt pockets.

The fabric of GOLD RAINBOW is a horizontal-striped textile in warm sand, honey and deep gold — each band separated by a delicate red scrollwork border of vines and small florals. The overall effect is almost architectural: rows of colour that shift and glow as the light moves across them. This fabric likely came from a ceremonial or formal interior context — the kind of textile that carries occasion in its very weave. Found at Kantamanto market in Accra, Ghana.
