PINK POWER is not asking for permission.

The fabric is deep magenta and crimson — a ceremonial brocade of large, opulent blooms in white, blush and gold, connected by sweeping golden vines. It has the weight and deliberateness of a fabric that was made for an occasion. Worn as an oversized bomber it becomes something else entirely: that same ceremony, carried on your terms.

Found at Kantamanto market in Accra, where it arrived from a European or Asian textile context and found its new direction: a Kofaya jacket, made by our tailors in Aburi, Ghana.
